At Studio Ver, we know that good design begins with clarity — about process, expectations, and how we work together. Below are answers to common questions about our approach. If something you’re wondering about isn’t covered here, we’d love to talk.

— about our studio —

What kind of projects do you take on?

Studio Ver works primarily on residential interiors — from ground-up, full-home renovations with architects, contractors, and consultants to decor-only projects, material selections, or single room transformations.

How would you describe your design approach?

Our work is guided by our client’s wishes and aesthetic. From there, we design with sensitivity to context - drawing from a site’s light, materials, and history - to create spaces that feel grounded, personal, and enduring.

Where do you work?

We’re based in the San Francisco Bay Area and take on projects throughout the region. Our workflow is built for long distance collaborations, and members of our team have successfully completed remote projects across the country.

What makes Studio Ver different?

We value authenticity over trends. Our work combines the rigor of our architectural training with a deep respect for craft, materials, and the people who make them. Behind the creative process, our systems and organization ensure that each project moves forward with clarity, precision, and care.

— WORKING TOGETHER —

what does your process look like?

Every project begins with a conversation — learning about your lifestyle, vision, and what inspires you. From there, we move through concept development, design, documentation, and installation. We handle the details while keeping you informed and confident at every stage.

How involved will I be in the design decisions?

As involved as you wish. Some clients love being part of every decision; others prefer to step back and let us lead. Either way, we create a collaborative rhythm that feels natural to you.

can you work with my architect or contractor?

Yes. Collaboration is essential to what we do. We’re comfortable joining existing teams or helping assemble one.

Do you offer virtual consultations?

Yes, we offer virtual meetings and design consultations.

— investment & budget —

How do you structure your fees?

Depending on the scope, we work on either a flat design fee or hourly basis. After an initial consultation, we’ll prepare a clear proposal outlining the scope, timeline, and investment.

What’s a typical project investment?

Every project is unique. During our initial discussion, we’ll share realistic ranges to help align your vision and budget. We can tailor the level of service to meet your needs.

Can you work with pieces I already own?

Absolutely. We love integrating meaningful existing pieces - art, furniture, heirlooms - into a refreshed context. The most personal spaces often evolve from what you already live with.
